Colorado-based Natural Grocers will open its third Tucson store on Tuesday, March 22, at Broadway Village, 3016 E. Broadway.

The new store, the company’s seventh in Arizona, will open at 8 a.m. after a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Gift cards ranging in value from $5 to $100 will be given to the first 50 customers, with values revealed at checkout, the company said.

The opening will feature a mariachi band until 10 a.m. and a tasting of food from the store’s Paleo Wraps class, which is based on a diet of unprocessed foods that could have been eaten by early humans.

The store also will mark its opening with a series of Saturday events from March 26 through April 16, including food tastings, cooking demonstrations and nutrition classes.

Natural Grocers offers fresh produce that is exclusively USDA Certified Organic, as well as other organic and natural products, the company said.

The store will feature a mix of national brands and a selection of locally produced products from Arizona in a “small, neighborhood market environment” as well as a nutritional health coach and nutrition classes, the company said.

Natural Grocers, which says it plans four stores in the Tucson area, opened its first store here in January 2015 at 7220 E. Broadway and its second in September at 6320 N. Oracle Road.

The company recently received a city permit to build a fourth store at 5600 E. River Road.

The Natural Grocers stores are open seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and from 8 a.m. to 7:35 p.m. on Sundays.
